RYAN MURPHY
RYAN is the founder and managing partner of Storebuild LLC. He is responsible for the strategic direction of the firm and its investments. Prior to Storebuild, Ryan co-founded Vequity Holdings, where he created development process and strategic controls that have become central to the Storebuild growth program. Learning, leading, and operating with many of the world's most prestigious retailers, he and his team have established a creative and proven approach to problem solving and programmatic expansion.
HIS passion for utilizing real estate to help his clients build enterprise value at scale has defined his career and set the guiding principles for Storebuild. Throughout his career, Ryan has acquired and developed more than $500,000,000 in medical and retail real estate for his own account.
Prior to founding Vequity, Ryan was a partner and market leader with SRS Real Estate Partners and was Managing Director and partner with NAI Hiffman. His accolades include Chicago’s “40 Under 40”, Costar Power Broker, and serving as NAI Global Retail Council Chairman. Ryan has a bachelors degree from Michigan State University in Urban Planning and Development.
He is husband to his amazing wife Carey, a father of three, an AAU basketball coach, avid skier, golfer, and elk hunter with a passion for design and urban planning.
